Phil Steele is a well-respected writer of an annual CFB preview mag. I'm sure many of you treat his previews as your pre-season bible, I know I do.

Anyway, here are his team rankings for the SEC this decade:

    SEC Team of the Decade

Florida narrowly edged out LSU based on head-to-head record (6-4) and having 4 more SEC wins. The teams were identical in division crowns, conference titles and National Championships.

Can't say I can argue with the logic.

eh, i give it to LSU because i am a damn homer and because LSU didn't have 3 5 loss seasons the past decade like Florida did.

That looks fair. FL had more wins and won the head to head. The next 10 years are what matter anyway.
