Why do we always have to go through this (You and I) (Kobe vs Lebron)

Its not a big deal but they should just admit thats how it goes and be done with it. Doing more doesnt mean nothing, my high school coach always told me stats are for losers. Its the guy who wins the championships who will be remembered. (Jordan and Shaq). Lebron was in that position 2 years ago and got swept. Doesnt matter who you win with, just as long as you win. Could Shaq have won without a player like Kobe, he sure didnt win with Penny. Cleveland has had talent around Lebron, he just didnt know how to win with them until now.

Damn i agree with mastermind on the point of the marketing in the nba, what you said about its always been the name of the game, carter, mcgrady, iverson, wade, didnt happen until David Stern came along, and when he did, he instated rules that were anti iverson. David Stern made it a point to take out the illegal defense rule so 2 and 3 people could guard iverson off the ball, and he also made the officials start calling carries everytime iverson did his crossover. for that crossover see here. YouTube - Iverson Crosses Jordan (Two Angles) (1997) he roasts mj on that one. David Stern needs to be let go, because he is whats wrong with the NBA.

but i agree with you on the part about kobe winning one without shaq, and i hope he never does.

Because I like you and it is fun.:D

I can't wait for the day Lebron wins a championship. Tough crowd since he has only been in the league 4 years.

The thing about Phil Jackson is that some people say he wins because of the players but Doug Collins couldn't win with MJ before Phil got there, and the slew of coaches who coached shaq and kobe couldn't win before he was there either. I agree, he's had phenomenal talent, but he's also made the most of it. And if he wins this year, the debate should be off. No shaq, keeping control of Kobe and playing with the rest of that motley crew they have does not make it easy to win championships.

I really do not dislike Kobe, I just think he is too inconsistent in the way he uses his teammates to be considered the greatest most everyone claims him to be.

He can take a game over like no other in the game right now but you never know what Kobe will show up.

You are right about that, I think he takes some games off. But he can take the game over in a heartbeat. He isnt Jordan yet, but neither is Lebron.

Doug Collins had Pippen for 1 season, I believe.

And the slew of coaches who failed with Shaq and Kobe failed only because Kobe was a 20-21 year old kid.

Give Adelman Jordan and Pippen, or Shaq and Kobe in their primes and it would have been easy for him, too.

Jackson will do to the Lakers what he does everywhere else... Milk the talent pool until it's totally dry, then bail out. In a year or two when Kobe isn't quite Kobe anymore, he'll bail, because he doesn't have the drive to compete like other coaches do.

Coaching isn't Phil Jackson's life like it is some other great coaches. He just does it for a hobby, so he isn't as inclined to battle as some others. That's why coaches with less talent (ala this year's Rockets) can give his more talented teams a run for their money, because the teams that oppose Jackson's teams are always better prepared.

Anyone watching Kobe: Doin' Work on ESPN?

If you are not, please do not start now.

I have watched 30 minutes and it is so boring. How can they keep this same thing going for 90 minutes?
