Didn't they get a 4* QB to switch their commitment to Tenn?

They did but he was their 3rd choice and viewed as a major project. Kid is like 6'6" and weighs 180lbs. They need someone ready to step in VERY SOON. Crompton is the best they have if that tells you anything. They wanted Scroggins but he committed to USC.

They are still lacking in a very important area. Their own backyard. They only have 1 in-state player committed. Everyone else is cherry picking their talent. I know Tennessee doesnt have the prospects but that should be their first priority. Tennessee is basically hiring mercenaries to represent them. There is no way they will have as much passion for the school in-state kids have. Kiffin and Thompson bragged about building a fence around the state. They havent even come close.

This may be the game that shatters crompton's soul. Safe to say this is easily a 3 pick day for the poor boy. The wet paper bag he failed to beat his way out of gainst UCLA should cannot be considered "preparation" for this weeks beating. Kiffen has refused to allow him around any media this week, geaux figure.

According to Mr SEC, gator fans are trying to get everyone to sing rocky top after every gator score, as if they have anything else to do.

this is exactly whats going to happen. could it set up any worse for this kid? all because of his egotistical, 1 1/2 year coach. i mean, they are going to lay the wood to this kid and in turn, his life. his soul will be destroyed.

and i wont be able to hide my sick happiness while Lane is getting crushed.

I apologize to the kid in advance. its nothing personal. isnt this what college sports is all about?:lol:

That's what I mean by a "bubble". All the hype will be hard to maintain if the Vols have another average season.

Of course, I'm not against Tenn recruiting fairly well. As long as they can keep Bama from raiding Tenn and maybe steal a good Alabama kid every now and again.

Got ya. I dont think their bubble will burst though. Too many good recruiters on that staff. The team is badly lacking talent so early playing time is a given for almost everyone they sign. Foolmer left a mess up there.

April is quite a ways away. Plenty time for recruits to bail if things really go south. Maybe Fat Phil Fulmer will make a comeback.

Those were the days my friend.
