He's got some competition now as the best to not win a major. Kim, Stricker, Choi, and Stinson come to mind. I also wouldn't consider him the best tee to green. In his younger days perhaps. Look at the stats for this year. They bear it out.
Agreed. The point is he's rated as that type of player. Whether he or another is deserving is sort of irrelevant when labeling Sergio. I think its an accurate desription of him as a player. Nobody is saying he is way better than those players like Isl suggests. He hasn't been good over the last year and has had personal problems. imo it is just a slump as he is fighting his swing. edit: you're right, he isnt the best tee to green - poor wording. i meant he gives himself as many realistic birdie chances as a guy needs. he just cant capitalize.
