You don't give Bradshaw enough credit. The west coast offense had not been invented yet, and there were few "short, high percentage passes being thrown. The passing game was VERTICAL and down the field. Of your top 3 QB's, only Montana was a better runner than Bradshaw, who was like a fullback running with the ball. Throwing the long ball, I'd put Bradshaw at the top of the list. As far as the Pittsburg D winning all the games, they were very good, not called the Steel Curtain for nothing, but the Niners in the 80's and the Patriots this decade have very good D's also. Bradshaw has his 4 rings, in a relatively short NFL career, shortened by his shoulder injury, which he did not listen to the dr's and came back to quickly, reinjured then out of pro ball. In his prime, he was as good as anybody I've seen. Unitas was like Peyton, a tactician. Not the best physical tools, but probably the hardest worker at improving his skills. He probably invented the 2 minute offense with Raymond Berry. Just on championship, but mostly due to his lack of supporting cast. Don't forget Joe Namath. His pro arm was EXCELLENT. I saw him throw a timing route in the superdome early one preseason, super long ball, long before the receiver broke, long pass, receiver just stepped under it for an undefendable TD vs. the Saints, terrific play late in his career after his knees were gone.
