Totally agree with you there, some people fail to see the big picture. Kickoff coverage is only one aspect of special teams, I don't believe its enough to fire the special teams coordinator/linebackers coach...maybe it just seems bad because we kickoff so much
I was actually referring to 2 different things about penalties! Ole Miss actually had more penalty yardage than we did and we played in their back yard. There will be no referee conspiracy this week. We had 9 penalties for only 66 yards, that is half of what we've had in recent games. Ole Miss had 8 penalties for 74 yards!
I think we a couple that were declined...cuz i know we didn't have less penalty yards in a game..:bncry:
Who took a cheap shot at you? No one called you a name or made a personal remark. I just responded to some of your comments. That's what we do here. If I didn't quote the rest of your remarks, it's because they were fine with me. I have no problems with you or your comments, I just disagree with some.
   that's a joke, right? right? wait, you're serious? good lord. :rolleye33:
What I'm seeing on SP Teams is over pursuit. Every time the runner gets a good return, you will notice their is over pursuit on LSU's part. They are not paying attention to where the returner is when is about to catch the ball. On long punts it works out OK but if the punter doesn't get all of it, then this is when LSU gets in trouble. The Kick off isn't as bad, but I sure wish he could reach the endzone. It is at the 5 yd line every kick off.
He can't be serious. We have arguably the best S & C coach out there. He has been here since Saban and do you remember how many games our Defense has one the came in the 4th qtrs over the years. The defense would stay out there for lengthy times and still perform late in the game. When other defenses get worn out, LSU's still have the motor going. You rarely see our Defense with hands on the hips and rarely see them gashed up the middle for big yards late in the game. Injuries have nothing to do with strength and conditioning. When somebody rolls up on your ankle (Holliday) or worse you get Hi-Lo blocked(Dorsey) those injuries can't be helped. We have one of the best conditioned teams in college football if not the best, ever since Coach Moffit has been here. He is irreplacable in my book and I believe he intends to stay for quite some time. Skip better not let any HC try to get rid of him. Way to go Moffitt:thumb:
