McGwire screwed up when he went in front of Congress and said, "I'm not here to talk about the past," eighty billion times. Of course, chances are he was on HGH or the roids too. He also didn't want to face the perjury charges that Bond is dealing with.
comparing clemens or bonds to just about any of the other users (sosa, mcguire, pettite) is a joke. i think the hof voters could easily justify not voting in the latter because they had a slim chance anyway. clemens and bonds were the best in the league for many years even before likely use. id still not vote in clemens or bonds, but they will both get in. and pettitte coming out with that lame ass explanation makes it worse. he should have kept his mouth shut. im starting to get pissed at the non-users too. they should be spilling the beans. sort of like cops that backup dirty cops.
Petite's statement gives more credibility to the trainer that said that Clemens took 'roids.....He can deny it all he wants, but as more players mentioned in the report admit to using steroids, the more credibility the report will have and Clemens will be in a very tough position. P.S. Lame excuse by Petite...He might have been better off by saying that he tripped and fell on top of a syringe that had steroids.
