All of these tweeets are setting the stage either for voters to avoid a rematch or possible split title should the rematch occur and LSU somehow lose.

no such thing as a split title once you agree to the bcs rules. ap is irrelevant. whoever wins the bcs title game is #1 by rule. as it should be.
I understand that, but the AP is not irrelvant to AP writers and USC didn't think it was irrelevant. Do you agree that if LSU rematches with Bama and loses to Bama then that is it, Bama will be the undisputed champs? Just sayin' because I can see a controversy coming if things play out that way.
yep because thats the rules we agreed to. there is no gray area. the talking heads can say boise makes it a 3 way split and give them an AP honorable mention trophy as well. but guess what it doesnt mean shiit. they get paid to talk nonsense which includes their biases. Makes for entertaining discussion when its what you want to hear. make for complete garbage to anyone else having to listen to it. but once you agree to the rules of the game, that is that regardless if you like the outcome. we lose to bama they are undisputed BCS champs. plain and simple. our win against them in their house affords us to go to the BCS title game even if we lose to UGA. thats what the regular season is for. to decide the top 2 teams. the top 2 teams are going. the winner hoists the crystal. as it should be.
An LSU loss in the rematch would do nothing but hasten the demise of the BCS. A scenario where Team A has to beat Team B twice to win an NC, but Team B only has to win once. And Team B gets a de facto bye week by not having to play their conference championship game.
You are totally preaching to the choir here, but AP articles can run their own titles as to who the champ is. I get it. Still, you didn't answer my question. I'll ask it again. Let's assume this is true, which it very well could be. Such consideration bolsters my argument that some voters may want to find a way to put someone else in over Bama. Of course, there are some idiots out there who would want to try to destroy the BCS as well, so maybe it kinda works both ways. :huh:
