A. I don't think we should do this B. I'll believe it when I see it C. I think him coming in motion in the wildcat would definitely grab the defenses attention (if we choose to do this)
What happens first? Russell Shepard throws a pass, Michael Ford sees legit playing time, or PP plays on offense.
Fair enough, but it can't be said I'm the only one who figured those receivers to get more chances to be a threat. Hell, if we had no talented receivers, it wouldn't be as frustrating that we don't throw the ball enough. Our problem is 2 fold. QB play is lacking for whatever reason, and play calling is lacking for whatever reason. The two may be tied to one another or not. Who knows? It just seems to me there would be no harm in at least finding out if JL can be effective or not; I'm in agreement with you.
LSU has more than enough talent on O to go around. Playing Peterson on O is pointless and ridiculous, outside of trying to give him more of a Heisman push. We have the playmakers, its to get them the damn ball. The coaches have to open up the play calling. JJ has to step his game up or give Lee a shot. You gonna play Peterson, your best player on D on on O. When he is also your return specialist and is already prone to cramps? This move shows the desperation of Miles and staff.
This is all this is. And I like it - Miles is rewarding Peterson for his hard work and talent by promoting him (just mentioning this is possible gets media hype) and giving him every chance possible to win the Heisman. And - it's great for recruiting. :geaux: :miles:
You know, I don't disagree. For everything he has been to this program, throw him a bone. I'm not normally one to promote individuals over the team, but get this kid a Heisman.
