    Found this at ESPN:
LSU's Patrick Peterson practices on offense

So apparently, the rumor is true. Of course, this may mean nothing. (I apologize if this was already posted, searched and didn't find it).

I have mixed feelings about this. We have enough talent on offense that we shouldn't need to play him. But yet, if it produces then it may be what gets us over the offense hump.

So can he read a defense and get the ball to an open receiver down field? If not it's just going to lead to more cramps and the same old offense.

This is spot on. We don't need more playmakers on offense. First off, we have RR, Shep, TT at WR already. Shep is one of the best playmakers in the country. Secondly, PP is so good with the ball because he ONLY gets the ball in open space. It's much easier to make an explosive play in the open field. Give him touches on offense and you can pencil in a set of cramps before the game. He's going to be burnt out and this will affect his play in other areas. IMO, moving PP to offense for some touches is the worst thing you can do to this team. It will get us hurt on defense, reduce his effect on the other parts of the game, and will send the wrong message to our offensive playmakers.

I would not mind it if Miles sent this message to the offensive playmakers: "Our QB is not all that good, so DON'T DROP THE BALL!"

If he puts PP in there to take snaps away from RS and TT to give them that message, then I don't mind it at all. Other than that, I agree with you...

Think Heisman. A score or two from the O with D and ST success... votes.

Yeah, we already have enough explosive talent on offense that we have no clue how to use. Why add one more, especially when he's got a history of cramps?
