interesting question who has won the Heisman trophy on a team that didn't win it all? I'm sure it has happened but it seems like you have to be an extra stand out player to do that. Best example McFadden should have won the yea tebow won.
Sam Bradford 2008 Tim Tebow 2007 Troy Smith 2006 etc., etc. only 2 of the last 10 winners were on championship teams..... The year Tebow won, UF had 4 losses.
Paul Hornung of Notre Dame won it and they went 2 and 8. Only person to ever win it on a losing team. Believe it was 1956 though.
Peterson's end zone antics have been shown on espn at least 3 times in the last 30 minutes. He's doing his own marketing.
i didn't want to start another thread so i'll just use this one... but are people really complaining that peterson struck the heisman pose? he said all week he was going to do it, and PP7 is someone who backs up his talk. i say let the kid play and have fun, he is obviously on a higher level than anyone else in the NCAA. i saw absolutely NOTHING wrong with him striking the pose under the circumstances. in fact, he's one of the few exciting things about this team. it was a selfish antic, but PP7 needs all the hype he can get if he even hopes to have a shot at the award. i loved it. i watched it about 3 million times. how cool is it that we have a player being talked about for the heisman? it improved his chances, IMO. because it will be shown over and over again and that's only a good thing. he just needs to continue his dominant play. i say we give him a shot at QB.
I am not complaining. I was just pointing out that he did not go back to field a punt after striking the pose. Did Les bench him?
nahh dude, i wasn't pointing that at you. i've read it about five other times in other threads. :thumb: btw, he was getting IVs. he did come back out after though.
