Let's say he brings 4 punts and 3 kickoffs to the house, while also shutting down the usual suspects (A.J., Julio, etc) like he did last year.... does he make the conversation?
not a chance...unless the Tigers win the National Championship and PP makes plays crucial to some major victories
He's gonna need to get quite a few picks too. Then, he will be in the conversation. 7 returns for TD's is not really...likely. If he has any big plays, they have to be game changers in the big games as well.
Name a D player that has. Everyone will say Woodson, but Woodson started on defense, offense, AND special teams that year. Dude was CRUCIAL to that team, catching plenty of TDs on offense. I think he only had 2 INTs for TDs that year. (which isn't shabby, but didn't win him that trophy...) So no...he doesn't have a chance at that. Now, next year when he comes back for his senior season and takes Toliver's vacated WR spot...then we'll talk.
I think he'd need a pic-six or a return for TD in every game (maybe both) in order to be on the heisman radar.
suh was a finalist last year if we are talking serious candidates. which i thought we were, not winners.
GTFO with facts, bruh! I must have watched his CAREER highlights the other day on YouTube...I saw way more than two. But still, the fact that he played and played effectively (putting it mildly) in all three phases got him the Heisman. - I will say this. That year, Woodson was up against the likes of Payton Manning. I don't know of anyone right now that is as much of a threat as Payton was that year. But I still don't see it happening. He (Pat Pete) is getting the press, though. And with the return game, he may be given consideration.
