Single digit temps with snow falling? Not to mention he had been a little off on his extra points...flirting with a couple of misses. He most certainly benefitted from the practice kick. Not really sure what's weaselish or bush league about "icing" the kicker.
Tucker admitted it helped. I don't think it's Bush league to try and ice the kicker, I just don't like it when they wait and try to get the timeout in a hair before the snap. To me if you do that you can't expect the holder to pull a Lucy and treat his kicker like Charlie Brown, or the kicker to pull up for that matter.
I didn't say he didn't benefit. All I said (or intended) was something obvious to us all. A straight on kick isn't as difficult as it would have been from a hash.
