He's got to be complaining because there is such a huge gap between Florida/Bama and the rest. If Fla/Bama win out its very possible the loser of the SECCG will still be number 2 in the BCS, especially if its Florida. If Texas loses its almost a certainty that number 2 will be the loser of the SECCG (assuming Fla/Bama win out). The spread in points seems to be unusually high this year with the top 2 so far ahead of the others.
Yeah, let's take care of that discrepancy please. The human voters should rank them 9th or 10th like the computer polls do.
I expect that Coach Miles would be saying the exact same thing and frankly the surprise has been uttered by almost every talking head out there except for Musburger. College football fans debate the process constantly so why is it such an issue for coaches to discuss. The fact is that USC's current ranking in the computers is more the result of Ohio State's loss to Purdue than our loss in Washington which BTW is the only game where Barkley did NOT play. When the human beings who actually watch games being played and then vote, think that USC is a better team today than the one who lost in Seattle then I think there is some merit. And to add a side note, the article you linked to came directly from Scott Wolf who is the USC version of Glenn Gilbeaux. PC's comments were likely from MMQB where PC addresses the previous game's issues and answers questions from support group members, media, etc. It's not like PC held a presser to discuss the issue.
Come on, vball? USC was this close to being Fatty Weiss' 1st win over a ranked team? That alone should drop them to 15 or so.

Wasn't that true though? The BCS stinks and everyone knows it, but i think that its funny that PC keeps flip flopping. In 03 BCS sucks, 04 BCS greatest thing on the planet (Matt Leinart's BCS sucks shirt on national television in 03, 04 Matt Leinart kissing the crystal) 05 BCS YAY says Pete, 06 BCS sucks, 07 BCS sucks says Petey and Richt, 08 BCS sucks, 09 BCS sucks. So in other words to Coach Carroll, the BCS only sucks if USC is not in the top 2. Hmmmmmmmm.
