So what? Why do companies making record profits need any corporate welfare from the US government? Just answer that. Don't give my bean-counter crap about deducting expenses. They couldn't be deducted if the subsidy wasn't there. They don't need subsidies.

Tax breaks are subsidies. Get it thought your skull.

Because without the tax breaks the burden would be too heavy and they would not be able to make money. They already pay billions in royalties, lease costs, and fees, and other sorts of taxes. Dropping their tiny profit margin may result in them locating jobs elsewhere and discontinuing domestic production resulting in thousands of lost jobs. You have shown no understanding of the inherrent risk involved in E&O.

    Finance aint your niche dude.

They aren't subsidized. Is Wal-Mart deducting its payroll expense and property taxes a subsidy for big discounter? Do you deduct your mortgage interest? Is that a subsidy for big red? (HA! Get it?)

When the government takes less of the money you earn because of a specific action you perform it is not a subsidy. When the government takes money from another individual and gives it to you so you will perform a function it is a subsidy. It is really that simple. Are you getting this?

No, ya knucklehead. Subsidies are subsidies. Tax breaks are tax breaks. If you can't get past that point we are talking in circles.

Agreed. Rich people can become richer.

Poor people can become middle class.

I guess making money is a bad thing.
