part of the reason there are less jobs than there could be is that unions bully everyone and make american companies less competitive.

and if employers just fire union workers, they will hire someone else. it doesnt mean there are less jobs. in fact there will be more because they wil probably be able to afford to hire more folks if they dont have to meet union demands.

 

What I don't think you understand is it isn't as much about their right to bargin as it is public vs private unions and whose money they wish to bargin. As SF said, house money. If a union is doing so with tax payers money then that is wrong regardless of how you slice it homie.

The governor did not dictate this bill in Wisconsin. The bill was voted on and passed in the Wisconsin legislature and signed by the governor. The same happened with the federal healthcare law. The reps had the votes and passed the bill in Wisconsin. Elections have consequences. Remember that saying? Just like last november the reps gave the dems their largest defeat in a hundred years and retook the house. Just wait till 2012! Gas going through the roof, high unemployment, recession still going on and amature time at the whitehouse in regard to foreign policy all on barry's watch. The reps will retake the senate and if we can get a good candidate the whitehouse along with growing our lead in the house. When that happens we can start to undo all this mess. Elections have consequences. Reps had to learn that and now the dems will have to live and learn also. Many states chose to go republican last election. New districts will be drawn up in these states. It may be a while before the dems take the house back

 

I don't know why anyone would have a problem with teachers bargaining for their wages, or firemen, or police officers. We pay them yes, but I don't mind paying them with my tax money. Why do congressmen and senators make 6 figures. Why are we trying to "balance" budgets with the change in the ash tray instead of using the money in the bank?
