Ok, so the shoe is on the other foot, and after promises of huge spending cuts, and limited government, and job creation, and the economy, this is what the right has offered the people of the United States, from congress to the governor's mansions in different states.

Alaska governor’s pick for key post wants to criminalize adultery, premarital sex | The Raw Story
"Do you believe it should be a crime?" Paskvan wondered.

"Yeah, I think it's very harmful to have extramarital affairs. It's harmful to children, it's harmful to the spouse who entered a legally binding agreement to marry the person that's cheating on them," Haase said.

"What about premarital affairs -- should that be a crime?" Paskvan pressed.

Jan Brewer is at it again. Mental note, do not move to Arizona, you will get shot by a nut who thinks you are mexican on your way to abort the next president. Got it.

Santorum abortion social security, Santorum links abortion and social security - latimes.com

So now it's abortion's fault for a surplus in social security?

    and my favorite.....

Gingrich on the radical Islamist wing of secular atheism | Opinion L.A. | Los Angeles Times

    Newt Gingrich.

So a secular atheist country is going to be run by radical religious nuts? Wow.

This along with all of the union busting legislation that has been passed around including Scott Walker, who has defied a judge's orders twice to pass his bogus legislation, to steal money from public education to give to the rich, and get rid of unions and trying cripple one of the democratic party's main source of campaign dollars.

I won't even go into Michele Bachmann, and Sarah Palin quotes about squirmishes and how the founding fathers freed the slaves.

Gee, where is the job creation? Where is the legislation to fix the economy? Why aren't we even hearing anything about this from the right? Is it because the "presidential candidates" are too busy stirring up the social conservative nut bags in Iowa by talking about issues like abortion, and gay marriage, and family values? Newt Gingrich talking about family values, the same guy that dumped his cancerous, hospitalized wife for his mistress, but he did that for his country that's right.

If you republicans on here, are so about personal freedoms, how in hell can you support people like the above mentioned?

Is it because you hate liberals so much, that you will support anyone who isn't?

So go ahead fire away at the partisan hack, the stupid pothead who knows nothing, the 14 year old that doesn't have a brain, blah blah blah, Ive heard them all.

With regard to abortion I don't see why it's needed. A woman can go to the pharmacy and get the abortion pill. What I have a problem with is a doctor sucking the brain out of a child that's could be just days from being born. A person finds out her child may have cerbral palsey in her ninth month and decides that the childs life isn't worth living and kills it. The baby's head is in the birth canal and the doctor sticks a tube in the back of it's skull and sucks it's brains out. That's wrong.

I believe the goverment should not be in anyone's bedroom. The only time goverment should be involved in this is if the sex involved is with a minor. Adults should not have to answer to goverment regarding their sex lives
When it comes to religon the constitution says the goverment should not establish a state religon or infrenge on someone's right to religon. The left takes this too far. The cross in the desert as a memorial to ww1 vets was there for 80 years. The ACLU had to fight aginst it. Athirst and the far left have made it a fight to remove any reference to God from goverment owned property. The founding fathers did not intend this. Most were religous men. It upsets me the complete contempt shown by many progressives and liberals to religous people and God.
I don't believe in every republican stance. I am more conservative than liberal.
I see liberals protest the military and burn American flags and I do not want to be associated with or condone this.
I am called an ideologue but I admit that I do think for myself and don't just toe the party line word for word like some here. I consider myself more conservative than republican. Some here would defend gutting small children if that's what the democratic party told them to do.

I agree Lasalle, those examples are pretty whacked. But in fairness, it's not all Republicans as your title and your post implies. They have their idiots just like the Democrats do, and If you want me to go through the trouble I'll sift through the right-wing rags, just like you do the leftist rags and find some fine examples for you. Not that it hasn't been done by both sides of the argument ad nauseam.

As far as where is the legislation to help the economy? Well, the attempts that have made it out of the house are stuck in the Democrat controlled Senate. Republicans promised $100 Billion in cuts and compromised down to 60 Billion. The Democrats started @ 30 Billion and compromised all the way up to a whopping 33 Billion. So the Republicans come down 40 Billion off their target, the Democrats come off 3 Billion, but the Republicans are the a-holes.

FWIW - that $100 Billion isn't even close to a good start. The interest on our debt will have cost us that much in by the time the two sides agree to anything. According to the CBO, as of February 2011 we are currently paying about $22 Billion a MONTH in interest on our outstanding debt. The two sides have been fighting over that bill for what... a couple months now? Even if they cut $60 Billion, by the time they get it passed that money will already be spoken for by China. This is a moot point however, since the bills will never get through the Democratic controlled Senate.

Thanks for proving my point (in another thread) that the actions of a few can reflect on their whole party. In that post you managed to group all Republicans together, as well as the rest of the right. 'preciate you! :thumb:

You are right, I did kind of lump everyone together, which is not fair, and the thread title is misleading. I was never really good at coming up with subject lines anyway.

Seems to be a recurring problem. Germanic people have a problem with the Semitic people among them and seek a Final Solution.

exactly. which is what the chicken littles about the dems cant grasp. there are a lot of blue dog moderate and conservative dems. i know dems in oklahoma that are more conservative than their pub counterparts. too many are pigeon holing all dems or all pubs into the extreme examples of a few or the minoroity. in neither case is that correct.

that said, yes those are some whacked examples of pubs.

eta: just as i believe that the extremes dont represent all, or even most, democrats, same here. i dont believe these extremes represent all, or even most, pubs.

So what's the difference between a far left "LOON" supporting late term abortion?

IF you cannot make the distinction between loons and nuts, you have issues....

You know I totally agree with you. As a matter of fact, I think this country has moved so far to the right that it's ridiculous. That's why when I hear words like socialist, or communist, being thrown around, i find it humorous. What is liberal about tax breaks for the wealthy? What is liberal about war mongering? I give Reagan a hard time but to be honest with you, if he ran for President today and ran the same Presidency, the right would think he was a liberal. At least the social conservatives would. High tax rates throughout, pro abortion bills, emission bills.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Democrats suck balls. I think they are spineless liars, who would run away from a fight with a blind, armless, legless girl. The only reason I have aligned myself with them, is because what they SAY they believe in, is really what I believe in, socially anyway.
