This is like Robert Lane not wanting to compete for playing time. If he was scared of competition or not confident enough in his ability, especially as a defensive back, then I'm glad he chose Okie State. Call me whatever, but I like a player who has confidence in himself to go somewhere and compete for playing time.
Yep. Looks like another Robert Lane indeed. Oh well. If he's too scared of competition, the forget him. I don't want a coward! I want a "gamer"! On a side note, KUDOS to Jason Teague--a 3-star CB and ranked in the 20's at the CB position, for STILL honoring his commitment to LSU! even though we woke up this morning thinking that he had to compete with two of this year's top-10 cornerbacks! Teague, you're a "gamer" son! You and Jai go and kick some a$$!
Thanks for waiting till late on signing day to decide that cox you piece of dog doo. Guys like this deserve what they get. What goes around comes around in my opinion. Hope you enjoy your time in the middle of nowhere . If you cant handle competition then i guess Ok St is where you belong because there will be no pressure on you there. They expect to lose and that way you can get playing time for a middle of the pack team instead of competing at a place that will get you to the NFL alot better. Win some lose some and he doesnt have the heart of a Tiger.
Heh...isn't it extremely odd that a guy with the last name "Cox", turns out to be such a PUSS........ugh.....you get what I'm saying....
Screw em...If he isn't man enough to tell us until the DAY OF....then let em go... Also, if he is scared of competition, let him go to the school our Head Coach left because their wasn't enough talent to compete with the big boys......
I could see the rational of not attending a school "loaded" your position if you play QB or RB. With those guys there is usually only one spot to be "the man" But he's a corner. You need at least 2 on the field and you never know how things will fall. Will Teague qualify? Maybe Eugene moves to OLB. A million things could happen. I can't believe that is his excuse to go to a program that will not play for any type title in the foreseeable future.
If you're scared of competition or unsure of your abilities then a national contender is not the team you want to be on, we saw the same thing a few years ago with Robert Lane. Sounds like Cox found a program that fits him better, I wish him luck and hopefully a winning season or two before his time is done.
