Per rivals, it sounded as if Cox enjoyed his visit to Baton Rouge as well. He said that LSU has the upper hand and that he will go back home, talk it over with his folks and announce his decision before Christmas. I know the majority of the talk on recruiting has been centered around o-linemen, but Cox could be the start of our true cornerback commitments (c'mon Jai!). Signing Cox would be great for our defensive backfield (since we're losing Prude and Stevenson after the bowl game). Having Cox and Jai in this recruiting class would be awesome! It would also insure that we have 3 very talented and young corners (Chevis Jackson, Cox and Jai) for a couple of seasons (along with Zenon).
Sounds like he will be a tiger, seemed really impressed with what LSU had to offer and he said he is going to make no more visits, hopefully LSU made up his mind for him. As a side note McCoy sounded like his expectations of LSU were exceded after he took trips to USC and Notre Dame!(Please McCoy be a tiger!)
Landing McCoy AND Cox in the upcoming weeks would be HUGE for our defense. Woods, McCoy, Cox, Cutrera, Tillman.....those are some top-notch players right there that should/could be HEAVY contributors at LSU should they all end up at LSU! .
