Well I can barely do the 'quote' thing much less 'multi-quote' so please indulge me here. I would be shocked, stunned, floored, gob-smacked (get the pix) if he were coming to Boone. Firstly, I am sure someone would have to show him where North Carolina is, then find Boone.... Secondly he would not feel too welcome at a program that would be returning him to where he was just banished from....Thirdly you are speaking about a program where, and I have mentioned this before, Coach Moore refused to let a player who was a 3 year starter and senior travel to the Championship game this year due to a failed drug test. That happened just 3 days before the game. Not exactly the atmosphere where I think RP would, umm, shall we say flourish?? Boone is in Watauga County which had an unusually high rate of Meth. lab busts in the past few years so the area is not as squeaky clean as it should be. Not sure why that is the case...may have to do with alot of remote residences, the free spirit atmosphere or w/e. Our offense is not exactly a simple one to get a full understanding of so he might have to actually study some which is another area that is not one of his 'long suits'. (I know you guys and gals think we are just a simple little program but the spread option can be a bit complex.) I keep a little bit abreast of APP. St. news and have not heard or read that our QB said he was going receiver in the pros...Since he is just a rising Jr. that would be a bit premature in any case. Finally for the record, Dude and I (sorry Dude) are in complete accord with where the responsibility lies in the case. RP is a big boy and at some point he will realize who made these decisions for him that have cost him so dearly. John, you need to do some reading about co-dependency...You may be an enabler....
In my best caveman voice... WHAT?? Jesus didn't remove responsibility from people for their wrongdoings...he simply forgave them...if they would accept it. He was a giver of second chances, yes...but the responsibilty was that of the offender.
Jacksonville State showing interest. http://www.al.com/sports/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/base/sports/1210061729198420.xml&coll=2
The notion that Spurrier would even consider him is out there as well. Consider that Garcia has been suspended until the fall for taking a lead in an alley, keying a car and underage drinking. Those two situations aren't even in the same galaxy.
i think angola state is the best guess.....with his tremendous athletic ability, he would probably do well in the angola rodeo......
If he doesn't want to sit out a year, I think Perriloux can only go to Div. 1 school. That leaves out several of the schools mentioned in this thread.
That would of course be a sequel to a remake...And in an interesting turn that noted Shakespearean actor Adam Sandler made a derogatory remark about App. State...Our Chancellor tried to get a hold of him after the win in Ann Arbor but he evidently wasn't taking calls for some ODD reason... Have a good day All.. GO APPS!!
