I don't know a whole lot about Appy State. Others say Grambling, Southern, McNeese, Angola State, Michigan and USC.

To me, what's best for RP is to get him far away from all the negativity, far away from Louisiana, and even better, get him into a small, private Christian school or some sort of military school, something like that... that has a good enough of a football team for RP to showcase what he has to showcase to get his shot at the NFL.

rp would do very well at ap state. he could rehab there since they have very little drug use and a clean environment.

Ryan would do good at any school, if he wants to clean up his act. If he doesn't want to change, then I don't think any school is gonna do him any good. It is up to him. No one is gonna be able to do anything with him unless he is willing to try. And it just seems to me that he thinks because he is so good he can do what he wants and get away with it.

Maybe now though, with Miles kicking him off the team, that will get his attention. I hope so, because he is really good at what he does.

i agree with the whole post. rp was given multiple opportunities at lsu and didnt take them. he has to make a more concerted effort to change where ever he goes.

if rp doesnt change, sooner or later he is going to run out of people willing to help him change. when that happens, incidents could easily start leading to arrests, or losing jobs in the real world.

You must be referring to South Carolina. If not, then who specifically is saying USC? It couldn't be anyone who bothered to look at our depth chart. Mark Sanchez, Mitch Mustain, Aaron Corp, and Matt Barkley coming in next year. Not to mention RP's reported drug problems. The last player USC had with similar issues was Eric Wright. He was a starting cornerback as a RS freshman but then was accused of assault and police found 136 E pills in his apartment. With PC's *ahem* encouragement, he left the University before he was kicked out.

Mark couldn't move pass Booty, Booty was a backup QB, that started because he knew the system. Mitch is USC's best bet, and it all depends on his ability to pick up the offense...it might take a couple of years to get polished. Since he only known one style since peewee football.
And as for RP's reported "drug problem"......there's that little thing, like Reggie Bush's paid hundred's of thousands of dollars to play for USC...that's a bit worst than any petty bar fight/smoking weed problem. Let's hope that the NCAA takes his Heisman back, and give it to Vince Young.

Ive been hearing Michigan and App State also because the starting QB for App State has already stated he's going to switch to WR for the NFL. So RP would be a great fit in that offense. Wild card would be for him to go to West Virginia but the main key is he need to get out of Louisiana and away from the negativity right now.

No, Booty started because he was better and more consistent.

No, he is not. I attended several spring practices and I can tell you first hand, Mark was the obvious choice to be named as the starter. Mitch had some nice moments but for the most part it wasn't even close. In fact after the spring game, plenty of people see Aaron Corp making a serious run at becoming the #2.
Comparing the two situations makes little sense. The University has always maintained they had no knowledge of what RB and his parents did or didn't do. USC did not pay Reggie to play football. It's a case of agent involvement, not boosters. As for RP, the cat's out of the bag now so any school to take him does so at risk. The NCAA has nothing to do with the Heisman. The DAC has already said they would not consider a re-awarding of the Trophy regardless of what happens in that case.

My original point though was to address John's claim that people were talking about RP transferring to USC and I find that not only unlikely but impossible. I do hope RP has gotten a wake up call and can turn things around so that one day he'll be able to appreciate the kind of support he got from CLM.
