You are correct. It was oficially closed May 20, 1999. Only toxic cleanup ops continued after that.

I loved it! Made me laugh! Mom said the weather in BR was brutal last night! I am in Atlanta right now and there is severe storm warning everywhere, my hotel is right across the street from one of the hotels that got hit pretty hard during the tornado a couple of months ago! Lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place does it?

Whether he screws up or not at J state may not matter. They probably will have a blind eye or deaf ear giving him a much longer rope there. Of course, with him, he could probably still hang himself no matter how long the rope.

That's a key point, regarding whether he can keep himself out of trouble. After the SEC championship game, he saw what he and this team could do. There was not much doubt he was being looked at as the heir apparent to Flynn. I understand him being frustrated the last 3 years, but it was OVER. He had it in his grasp.

I suspect he'll try to play one season, make a splash, then declare for the draft is he had a good year. But not playing at LSU on the big stage for a year or two, plus a checkered past, will drop his draft position several rounds and cost him some millions, IMO.

I am curious as to why their ex-QB cedric johnson got kicked off the team? What kind of "team rules" did he break???

the only way he won't screw this up too is if getting kicked off a DI team (where he was going to be king of the hill) actually has had some impact on him in a positive way. otherwise, people usually don't change unless they have the desire to change. we'll see what the next year or two does to (or for) RP.
