The funny thing here though is that what the kid is saying is true... i never fault anyone for speaking the truth, especially if that persons future is in the balance...
I don't need to tell Saban he doesn't need Perriloux...he's the one making 2.6 mil, he 's more than capable of making that judgement for himself. But, as we saw w/ Robert Lane, he's not going to take a chance on mortgaging the future of this program on a hotshot who, no matter how talented he may be, has the wrong attitude toward playing here.
If we are destined to sign a QB, does anyone have any mroe info on the QB Jonathon Crompton from North Carolina? It seems that with the TF QB's playing so well that he is taking official visits. I say forget RP and go for this kid. He reminds me of Mauck: Height: 6-foot-3 Weight: 211 pounds 40-yard dash: 4.8 seconds (a little slower) "He has all the intangibles of a great quarterback. He is a hard worker; he has great vision, great arm strength and a quick release." -Tuscola coach Travis Noland per Rivals We gotta try and get him now. He will ride the pine behind Ainge/Schaeffer.
We better sign a good one, Saban was disappointed we didn't sign a good one last year, you know we need one this year, you can never have to many talented QB's on the roster with injuries and failings. locoguano, I see your point a little, but it is much better to use judgement than to run off at the mouth. And his future is in the balance and maybe he shouldn't be trying to alienate his future teammates, especially the one who would be the most important in teaching him the ropes, several months before he steps on campus.
Does anyone else think speaking negatively about prospects is a bad idea on a public message board? It doesn't seem like it would help recruiting a whole lot. I also would find it hard to believe so many would be questioning RPs "attitude" if he were an LSU commitment and made the same comments about Jimbo and Randall. Besides, unshakeable confidence (even to the point of cockiness) is probably one of the more vital attributes a quarterback can have. :geaux:
