Yeah, he suffered a concussion against OSU and Devlin finished the game. However, give Clark credit. OSU's D was very good. In a very hostile environment, PSU had no turnovers and no penalties. Pryor's fumble ultimately turned the game to PSU's favor.

USC never put their scrubs in. PSU scored more points in the 2nd half of the Rose Bowl (17) than USC had given up in the second half the entire season. Clark was very good the entire game.

Clark threw 4 tds against Michigan State in a PSU rout with the Rose Bowl on the line for both teams.

He was near perfect at Wisconsin last year when the Badgers had been a preseason top 10 team, but had suffered back to back last minute losses to Michigan and OSU. PSU won 48-7.

20 points may very well win the game. However, LSU gave up more than that to almost half (5) of its opponents, including 30 to Arkansas. Conversely, PSU held 10 of 12 opponents to 20 points or less.

To beat Clark and PSU, your D will have to pressure him all day. If you can do that, you have a good chance of winning. However, other than on special teams, just how do you expect to score?

FB Joe Suhey (3rd-year/redshirt sophomore). Rated the #6 FB available for the 2012 Draft by NFL Draft Scout, right behind LSU's Stevan Ridley. He's a hybrid HB/FB-type in the mold of guys like Jacob Hester and Heath Evans... part of Penn State's move to its "spread HD" offense which is based more on speed and athleticism than old-school burly big guys (think Mike Karney). Was Penn State's #2 RB in receptions and receiving yards this season and #4 RB in carries and rushing yards (the RB at #3 is now out for the season with a torn ACL).

--his father, Matt, was a standout fullback at Penn State from 1976-79, rushing for 2,818 yards, good for No. 9 on the school career list, and 26 touchdowns before going on to a long career with the NFL's Chicago Bears.

--two of his uncles (the brothers of his father) played for Penn State as well.

--his grandfather, Steve Suhey, was an All-America guard for Penn State in the 1940s and is a College Football Hall of Fame inductee

--his great grandfather, Bob Higgins, was the second All-American in Penn State gridiron history, earning the honor in 1915 and again in 1919, and later served as head coach from 1930-48.

Back-up QB/ATH Kevin Newsome (true freshman). Rivals #4 Dual-Threat QB prospect, Scout #10 overall QB prospect, ESPN #15 ATH prospect, U.S. Army All-American, two-time high school state champion hurdler (Virginia).

CFN: "A great runner, if he's in the game he'll be taking off more than he'll be throwing. ... Newsome is a big, dangerous runner who can be used from time to time just to throw a curve ball into the equation."

6-foot-5, 195-pound WR Derek Moye (3rd year/redshirt sophomore). 2009 honorable mention All-Big Ten. Leads PSU in receptions, yards, and average per catch (16.3).

--Penn State Quarterbacks Coach Jay Paterno said "People don't realize because of his size that he's a guy who runs sub 4.4." He's taller than Julio Jones and A.J. Green (both 6-4).

--NFL Draft Scout has him clocked at a 4.44 forty (they have Terrance Toliver at 4.46 and Brandon Lafell at 4.48). They rate him the #21 WR available in the 2012 Draft (ahead of Arkansas' #1 WR Greg Childs, who they have at #27). They write: The tall, fast junior provides big-play potential on the outside and gives Daryll Clark a nice downfield target. Moye stretching the field vertically will open things up underneath for the rest of the offense

--CFN: "Derek Moye is a sub-4.4 runner with tremendous quickness, and he's 6-5...possesses next-level wheels...Not only does he have 6-5, 195-pound size, but he has sub-4.4 speed and tremendous upside."

--in high school, won the 200 (22.15) and 400-meter (48.04) Class AA state titles at the 2007 Pennsylvania state track and field championships. Also lead his 1,600-meter relay team to the state title (3:30.22), sprinting from sixth place into first as the last leg.

WR Chaz Powell (3rd-year/redshirt sophomore). 4.37 Speed (sub-4.4 forty) according to NFL Draft Scout. #6 recruit at his positon by Rivals.com, Rivals 100 (79). Nationally praised for his "speed and athleticism" and his "multi-talented" abilities.

CFN on Powell and Moye (mentioned above): "The talent level remains ridiculously high...This group is big and fast, with Powell and Moye each possessing next-level wheels...Chaz Powell is a sub-4.4 runner with tremendous quickness and...and Derek Moye is a sub-4.4 runner with tremendous quickness ... Sophomores Chaz Powell and Derek Moye will be the new star receivers ... Moye and Powell will be stars ... Chaz Powell is a blazer ... Not only will he be a key wide receiver, but he'll likely see about 30 carries, after running for 74 yards and two touchdowns last season, and will be the team's top kickoff returner."

This season, he averaged 8.44 YPC, 13.15 yards per catch, 15.1 yards/play of total offense, and 24.42 yards per kickoff return. He was the team's top kickoff returner this season by total returns and total yards (24.42 yard avg). Was #3 on the team in all-purpose yards (behind RB Royster and WR Moyes).

john, can you please limit your pics in this thread, preferably to one of each player since you feel pics are needed for the report on each player?

posting what seems like 500,000 pics is really not necessary, and it makes loading the thread when reading from my phone take longer than is tolerable.

    thank you.
