22 penalties from our last 7 opponents. Against our D?

    Come on.

I can't think of a good reason to be last in the conference in penalty yards, with no sign of the trend improving. I really wonder if this game should have been this close and I really wonder why we've become so beatable.

Huge win stolen from the clutches of defeat, but I feel as unimpressed with LSU under Miles as I ever have. Of the top teams, we haven't looked that impressive. It is scary how good we could be if we could cut these penalties in half.

I feel uncertain about him. Does some things well...

:milesmic: I'll keep watching the games and pulling for the tigers. I apologize for expecting more dominance and less mistakes. I feel like this team is capable of more. I'm curious if the potential will be realized.

Still, a win is better than a loss, especially in an emotional game against our old coach. I'm really glad we got the win. A loss to Saban would have been heartbreaking for me.

didnt feel like reading all the posts this late.

lsu's penalties are because of aggressive D, normal #of expected penalties, and O procedural penalties because of new/complex system (factors in the latter are also new qb, new wrs, new (and often overmatched?) RT).

i give little fault to the coaching staff on this issue.

    concerning the two controversial penalties---
    1. whats the rule about reception with extended hands? didnt hear the commentators say.

    2. whats the rule about DL drawing OL offsides? i thought if the DL came in the neutral zone that OL movement would be called DL offsides.

I think this is an area that the coaches MUST focus on.

You cant tell me that other coaches are not watching this area and will try to bait us into making the stupid fouls.

And BC JUST LOST HELL YEAH BABYYYYYY

Ok I only have ONE major problem with the calls tonight and that was the PF on Hester.

He tackles the guy on the Bama sideline and then as he is getting up has 3 Bama players jump on top of him, but he is the one called for the personal foul?

Well the Tigers do shoot themselves in the foot thats for sure, but some of it is just the usual "crappy" officiating...hate these guys!

Replay showed Hester pushed one of the Bama dudes in the face mask area.
