I think these kids may need a bit more discipline, and its obvious they "are" very emotional, but all that makes them what they are. Its things that can be corrected, but it takes time. I think CLM may be a bit too easy on them at times, but the old saying goes "dont fix it if it ain't broke". He might be a little lax because it all seems to be working in our favor right now, but this is something that will jump up and bite you in the "azzzzzz" sooner or later. They've got to get a handle on it. Not sure about the "cooking" thing though. BTW, I think its "ultra cool" that Glenn Dorsey came out of my old High School!!! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
officiating has to be suspect when the number of penalties were so one-sided. LSU sacked sarah jessica parker 7 times. the gumps still haven't been called for holding. is it mere coincidence? btw....no catch. his hands are on the outside of the ball and the ball hits the turf and bounces.
Go back and read, I said "Personal fouls AND unsportsmanlike conduct" which also draws a flag.
The penalties called on LSU were almost all legit and just senseless on our part (in many cases). The one on Dorsey was horrible. The question is how does a makeshift inexperienced Bama line NOT have a SINGLE holding call against a D that sacked/pressured your QB some umpteen times. That has to be investigated. But things tend to even out. The Bama receiver looked to catch that ball, and even if it was questionable, no way does that replay official overturn it. That was very surprising. And thank goodness. That could have decided our fate.
No of penalties for each team each game: LSU 14, Alabama, 2 LSU 5, Auburn 3 LSU 12, Kentucky 6 LSU 7, Florida, 2 LSU 15, Tulane, 4 LSU 5, South Carolina, 2 LSU 10, Middle Tenn 3 LSU 7, Virginia Tech, 7 LSU 8, Miss St, 7 See a trend? Every team seems to commit VERY few penalties against the Tigers, and the Tigers have committed the same or more penalities than the other team in each game. The MOST penalties a team has commited against us in the past 7 games is 6!! Also, the last 3 double-digit penalty games by LSU were ALL on the ROAD! The last 3 home games they only got 5, 7, and 5. Amazing.
Sorry I don't believe in conspiracies, not this or the right wing conspiracy, big foot, etc. Heck, most football fans are intelligent enough to see offsides and holding calls.
Well Tyson Jackson (DE) is just an idiot, he's starting to remind me of Dennis Rodman with his cheap shots.....and almost cost us a second game. Like someone said before, the face mask on dorsey was bs.....he had the jersey over the shoulder never touching the facemask. Hester's penalty was out of character for him....I think he just got tired of crimson in his face and reacted. As for all the illegal motion, illegal shift and presnap penalties it seems to be a two fold issue. 1. I really don't think our offensive tackles are the smartest and most discipline players and I just want to kill Stewart and Black at times. They even have multiple false starts at home......just retarted. 2. Our wide receivers haven't the slightest idea of who or when they should be on the line in different offensive packages. It's really getting old. I know they are young but obviously the aren't getting coached......and sooner or later someones head has to roll. I would just like to see as if Miles at least cared about these penalties.....but he just acts like its no big deal. In these moments I don't think we look like a National Champion.
Not saying there is a conspiracy - just pointing out that LSU is an undisciplined team, and that referees do let a home crowd influence their calls slightly - for better or for worse. I think the stats are remarkable and very telling. I do find it interesting the lack of penalties by LSU opponents - don't know how to explain that.
