Ed, Last year we mentioned Pelini doesn't recruit. A year later it looks as if he has still decided not to pick up that hobby. What does the fanbase think about that? ps. While not successful, l I enjoyed his fake FG attempt on Friday. Looked familiar.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: Scored 38 against Ga. and 30 against Ark. You should win when scoring that many points. Where was the Defense? Also, giving up 31 to Ole Piss was ridiculous. The DB's didn't cover anybody the whole game. Was the offence perfect? Far from it. Jarret Lee's 7 pick six's surely didn't help and I'm sure the defence felt let down by that, and rightfully so. I think they (defence) were demoralized the second half of the season and played like it, with the exception of the Bama game which was the best defensive game LSU played IMO. Still, I think if the defence played up to the standards of last year or even close, we're 9 - 3 at worst right now. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
Recruiting is still an unknown. We have a couple of highly coveted recruits and a bunch of others that major schools aren't hot on. I'm not a recruiting fan -- we'll see. As for the fake FG -- it was the second time we ran it this year. The first went for a first down. Bo went to the well once too often. It was interesting, after the game he said he was glad Henry hit the 57 yarder to win it because he doesn't think he could live with the bone-head call he made on the fake. If Bo is anything, he's straight forward and honest. No coach speak.
Good to see you, Husker Ed. I remember your questions last January. I miss Pelini, especially in light of our defensive problems this year. I agree with your observations about NOT OVER REACTING! I don't think we are that far off the mark. I think a little tune up and we can improve by a couple of wins next season.
