I like the idea of Pellini finishing up his job here. Being able to coach for a NC game is an honor and rare opportunity, and he surely deserves it.

For Pellini, he would know how important this last coaching assignment at LSU is: personally to him as a coach, and by winning, it would give him a nice head start against rival Ohio St. Also, this is not like Richt's situation with FSt. because this IS the NC GAME. Therefore, I would expect Pellini to coach this game to the best of his ability with the defensive team he helped mold together his past three years here. There has got to be some chemistry between him and his players; I am sure he would like to take care of the otherwise unfinished business of helping the players achieve the final goal they set up at the beginning of the season. He surely will be busy this month, but he would not let this one slip away because of distractions.

hmmm, Ohio State is not Nebraska's rival last time I checked

and FSU did play OU in the NC game and scored exactly zero points (about 40 ppg below their average for the season)

    Oops, sorry my bad.:dis:

What I was trying to say is that by doing a good job against a high profile opponent like Ohio St. it would pay dividends for HC position and recruiting. My other point is :would any good coach not like to finish the business that they started off with the beginning of the season?
