I am just not a fan of O, probably never will be. I think his heritage is a great compliment to being a coach at a Louisiana school, I just think he will hurt the program more than help it. I am grateful for bringing the year he did, it was probably the best I've seen in the 50 years of watching LSU. I was hopeful that he had changed his ways, but this year seems to show that when the pressure is on he reverts back to taking short cuts which will get us in trouble. This program is too big for him to sustain any kind of success the way Les and Saban did. I would rather have a coach that can run a clean program than one the will win it all and cost us sanctions. Coaches like O, Kiffin, Leach, etc. have no business around LSU.
For what it’s worth, it’s looking like O is going to be cleared of wrong doing by the school’s investigation as of now. That could change at any moment, but O gets the benefit of doubt from me until further notice.
I certainly am not accusing him of any wrong doing at any time. I too will give him the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise, just not comfortable with his track record and the means he used to get the job.
The linked article says that Bo is gone. There also several tweets by media members on TOS saying the same thing. The article says that Bo's buyout is $4.6 mil. https://www.si.com/college/lsu/football/lsu-fires-bo-pelini
