I'm sorry but even if Miles leaves, I don't want Pelini. It has little to do with coaching ability, though I still would prefer a HC with more experience. His sideline presence is an embarrassment though.

Also, I thought he was already at his dream job??? Why would he ever leave his own version of Miles' Michigan?

because he and osborne are like oil and water. tom o conducted himself like tom landry-- on the field at least.

not like ditka who pelini somewhat resembles. i seriously think when watching pelini hes close to having an aneurysm.

Hm, I dont live in BR anymore b/c of where I am stationed, but it seemed that everyone I talked to back in BR would tell me how negative the town was about miles. Local media to the mainstream...

I even hear the BOO's from TV....I am sorry, but fans dont Boo when they are happy..

Now they are. I think many fans accepted Miles after the Bama game...

It is no secret that if we lost that game this year, Miles would have been on the hot seat for sure......

Either way, there was enough of a perception that a GOOD number of the fan base didnt like and never like Miles. So much of a perception that national media would run stories on it....

Don't get legitimate complaints about offensive struggles and occasional poor clock management get confused with disapproval of Miles as coach. Remember there were some that didn't like Saban either. It's a small minority and doesn't even remotely reflect the opinion of the majority. There are not many stadiums in the nation, college or pro, where LSU's offense wouldn't have been booed at times. There isn't a single football destination where the clock management gaffs wouldn't have been grilled either. That doesn't mean that Miles many talents and tremendous success aren't appreciated by the masses.

Yo bring up a good point which brings me back to my point.

Its not what have you done for me, its often what your NOT doing that gets talked about b/c the LSU fan base NOW expects these seasons every year....

i agree, but the problem is, because they have been so vocal, it appears to be the majority, and is giving that perception nationally.

If jj have played all year like he did last night then miles wouldn't have been booed, crowton wouldn't be hated like he is and there would have been no hot seat for miles for the media to feast on. I know the coaches should have coached him up and so on but jj proved he can play at the level we need him to for lsu to win the sec in the Alabama game , floridia game , ole piss and ATM games. Jj can do it but for some reason he stunk it up most of the season and brought all the negativity upon this team. The coaches wouldn't have been trashed in the media and the fans so negative had he played well all season. When jl was starting to get snaps jj steped it up. Mett shows up at lsu and jj plays like a true sec qb last night. Jj could have done this all year but didn't. If we could get the same quality play out of him every week there would not be so much negativity at lsu. Jj's inability to motivate himself to play like he has proven he can probably has cost a man his job. Gary crowton can thank jj in part for losing his job. Jj could have played like be did last night all season. I think naming him the starter preseason and not having a healthy competition for the position hurt lsu this year. It is a testament to this teams strength and quality of our coaches that we have had such a successful season despite sporatic qb play. Without the bold risktaking and clever winner take all 4th down calls by miles we wouldn't have won so many games

The talent is there and the recruiting continues to be there so why not. High expectations are better than low ones. There will always be ups and downs playing SEC competition. Most of the complaints were about problems that shouldn't take 3 years or more to improve. They were glaring, ugly and long lasting. That doesn't take away from the fact that Miles is doing great in many other areas and that 11-2 in the SEC is outstanding, especially considering the strength of the west this year. 11-2 also doesn't mean there isn't work to do on the offensive side of the ball. It's the far right sunshine pumpers and the far left pessimists that make discontent appear bigger than it is. Most realize that things are really good, but we are an average QB and offense away from playing for a national championship. Miles may be crazy, but he is not stupid. He knows LSU has a strong fan base and that he has lots of support.
