Pelican Sports reporting Miles to UM, Pelini to LSU

didn't CL, yesterday, claim that he talked to Michigan and they did not want him even at 1/2 the price?

 

"He said, 'They have rumors going around about (me) going to Michigan but it's not true'," Jefferson said. " 'It's nonsense.' He said hasn't spoken to anybody, anything about Michigan. We're going to stick with that and get ready for next year."

LSU running back Stevan Ridley concurred with Jefferson.

"He told us this is his football team and this is where he's going to be," Ridley said. "We respect our coach and this is our coach for right now and we're going to enjoy him as long as we can. Coach Miles is a Tiger. This is his group of guys and he's proud of us. I think this is where he will be next year."

Maybe Les released the report just to make the fans appreciate him more knowing that he might leave...Mad Hatter...:milesmic:

 

I'm not saying I want Les Miles to leave, because I honestly don't. There is an insane amount of young talent on campus and more soon to be on campus. I just want problems to be fixed, aka Crowton and Stud. If in fact he does leave and it's because of booing, then that is just retarded. You make 3.8 million dollars/year and you can't handle criticism? Every fanbase boos coaches. This is not unique to LSU.

 

Now Ridley, Shep, the other shep, and about 4 others on the team are reporting he's staying (according to ESPN radio)

 

I hope the reports being posted by players turns out to be the truth, but if they are not and Miles does leave, it will mot be because of booing. Although that may very well be part of it. The main readon, regardless of how great things are at LSU now and into the future will be because this will be his last shot to get his dream job.

If he turns down UM again he will never get a chance at his dream job. Even though the Tigers are primed for a MNC run, that draw maybe to great for him to pass it up agian.

 

If Miles leaves it will have nothing to do with booing. It will be about going home.

 

I've been listening to Chris Landry all year, and he's knowledgeable, but he has a massive woody for Miles, hasn't had anything good to say about him all year, and TK is the same.

BTW, TK predicted 7-5 or 6-6 for LSU this year, and said it was because of Miles being a mediocre coach at best.
