We just played two cream puffs, hard to tell if the team is actually peaking. The picture will be much clearer after Fridays game.
Tiebreaker between 2 teams......(wikepedia) Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams. If no game is played between the two tied teams or that game ends in a tie, the following tie-breaking procedures would be applied: Record in games played within the division. Record against the next highest placed team in the division (based on record in all Conference games, both divisional and cross-divisional) proceeding through the division. Record in common Conference games. Highest BCS Ranking following the last weekend of regular-season games.
Agreed. Ole Miss' rushing D is like toilet paper, but I liked what I saw out of Jefferson when he threw the ball. He didn't panic under pressure, and he looked for downfield receivers when he rolled out instead of immediately scrambling. His decision-making is definitely on an upward trajectory compared to what it has been.
A handful of short safe passes against a high school defense. I'll take a 100% completion percentage any day and he did do well under pressure a couple of times. However I don't think you can make much of a judgement against such a pitiful D. Like I said, Friday will tell us much much more about how much progress he has made. We will need to complete more than 7. Hopefully the game plan will call for some safe high percentage passes on first down to get him going.
JJ definitely has a new air about him. I think he has made some serious progress in his passing game, while the option and running game continue to produce solid chunks of yards.
