It seems to me, that switcing to JJ is allowing LSU to reach a second late peak this season. JL peaked some time ago, but is still playing well. JJ, OTOH, is just now peaking. This seems to contrast to the rest of the field. OU, OR, Stanford, Okie State, .... even Bama are all showing signs of having peaked, Bama letting GaS score 21 points on them. I think this LSU team is going to get better and better. AR doesn't stand a chance this weekend. ... nor does GA. The only pisser, is that Bama gets to sit back, after losing to LSU, and just wait for the NC game. They should make a rule against that crap. If you lose to the NC opponent in normal season play, you should be disqualified from being selected for the NC game.
Is there a chance that Stanford could jump Bama? The west coast machine is starting to mumble that rumor. Arky loss LSU win out while Bama basically sits.
They won't win their conference either. Oregon would have to lose to Oregon State (which could happen, given that rivalry, but still highly unlikely) in order for Stanford to play that extra game and win the conference. That would be Stanford's only chance.
Does the Pac12 have the same rule the SEC has with regards to ties?? .. in that the BCS ranking determines the leader unless a head to head within so many positions is in play?? Right now, Stanford is the top ranked PAC12 team, so, if in the final talley, they break 5 spots ahead of OR, they could be playing for the Pac12 CG ...for what that's worth.
