Bad example. Edison was a "CEO" that sold the light bulb. He did not invent it. He also was a loser who pushed DC current, but he came up short! Get it????
I learned way back in grade school the Edison invented the light bulb. He may have pushed DC at first but he did create the power generation and delivery system that illuminated New York.
Yeah, I know, but cool science projects ain't practical for power generation. He had to use 18,000 volts of electricity to fuse two molecules! For any system to replace fossil fuels, it will have to be able to generate more power than it consumes. That is the key problem. And it will have to be a pretty big plant to make enough hydrogen to matter. Nothing is impossible, it's always a matter of practical tradeoffs.
There you go again with your big plant producing tons of hydrogen again. You really should go into the zeppelin business. PK, how far will a car travel on an ounce of gasoline? 10 feet, 50 feet? I don't know but as that ounce is being burned another ounce is being fed into the injectors and on and on until you stop or run out of gas. A small converter would do the same thing except it would be converting the water from your tank a small amount at a time as needed. Just would take somebody who thinks out of the box who has or could get the capital to make it so. And Ronco has some good products. I bought a rotisserie from them and it worked great.
