part of my return to the saints bandwagon has been my immense enjoyment of colston's TE eligibility in yahoo fantasy leagues. it really isnt fair, but i am burying people with that guy scoring tds left and right out of the "TE" slot.

Good points. I think the only team that had a comparable draft was the Texans, with the following picks:

    Williams, starter
Ryans, starter (rookie of year contender)
Spencer, starting LT before breaking leg
Winston, seeing playing time on OL, should develop well
Daniels, leading TEs in TDs, I think
    Lundy, starting RB
Anderson, played a lot as KR already

I was surfing channels last night and I saw the following clip on BET:

They were doing some kind of special on Vince and there was the following comment made:

"There's no doubt he will not succeed at this level".

I'm positive the guy misspoke, but I was like "WTF"!

The trade for Hollis Thomas was in the fourth round. And we still got Jahri Evans who is now a starting player. When you look at it we got two players,
one being a possible pro-bowler the other being a solid (use that one loosely) starter. You also gotta thank our buddy Saban for passing on Breeze because he would rather have QB with a knee problem than a QB with an arm problem.

We got Jeff Faine in the 2nd round trade from Cleveland, and still ended up with Roman Harper. Cleveland is still kicking themselves over this one, as they have struggled to block for Mr. Drones.

Faine solidified the O-line. Thomas solidified the D-line. Payton was smart enough to know that even with all the talent in the world, you don't have much if you can't control the lines of scrimmage.

No they aren't. Bentley was an upgrade any way you slice it, he just got hurt in the preseason. You can't plan for season-ending injuries to Pro Bowl acquisitions. Bentley was through playing in New Orleans, and it was our duty to get value in return.

I don't remember us trading Bentley for Faine and also moving down in the draft. The 2nd round pick was for us to get Faine while trading 2nd round picks (Browns moving up in the draft).

They passed on Reggie Bush so that immediately knocks them out of contention for draft of the year in my mind.
