I doubt your mathematics and see no integrity issue at all. The SEC is a rugged league and depth is essential. And who is talking about pushing kids out? I'm talking about normal attrition. Top talent will be tempted by the NFL. Positions with a logjam of talent will have players transfer to get playing time. Some players will flunk out or get dismissed for rules violations. Some, like Alex Hurst just quit football for personal reasons. Happens every year. Les has had exactly one year when he came in at 87 in August because two players expected to have grade issues managed to get themselves NCAA eligible. So he offered two players grey shirts. One took it and the other got pissed, made a huge stink in the papers and transferred to Ole Miss. Do you know where that player is now . . . he's probably going to be the starting center for LSU this season. He hated Ole Miss, rethought his position and walked on at LSU eventually earning a scholarship. If he had taken the grayshirt he would have saved a year of eligibility. Successful coaches don't have to push players out, they have to manage attrition.
Sometimes there are unexpected expenses, especially when you run a budget with tight and rigid limits. Someone who is good at budgeting always has a plan to recover for unexpected expenses, just like out coach when it comes to recruiting.
The new football roster was released and Chris Davenport, Luke Muncie, Paul Turner, Jared Randall, Dexter Alexander and Cleveland Davis were not on it.
Muncie is a disappointment. Wasn't he in the playing rotation early in the year, or am I thinking of Maclin?
