It doesn't matter if it was repealed. It was terrible, and should have never been law.

I just don't vote for known liars period. Obama and Romney both fall into that camp.

Sort of like the service employees unions in California are breaking the state and fighting the democrat govenor to keep their own while the taxpayers go broke supporting their lavish retirement? Sort of like Al Gore goes around talking about global warming with 5 or more homes and pprivate jets and limos to cart him around giving him a carbon footprint bigger than Texas? How about supporting trial lawyers who made billions of cigerette settlements while the real plaintiff got pennies? Come on Man Greed is in both parties it is just whose ox is gored.

I never said it wasn't. All I am saying is that there is more of it on the right.

it does matter. things get put into laws all the time that get over looked because no one person has the time to sit and read every single piece of legislation that passes thru their office. both dems and repubs recognized that this was a bad part of the law and repealed it before it could go into practice.

Well why didn't you say so in the first place. I see trhe difference is that reps do it for money dems do it for political power then money. I prefer the reps because fewer people get f*cked.

Don't get me wrong. I am no fan of Obama. I feel that he had a huge chance to do great things and hasn't come through, but I don't completely blame him. I have never seen so much hate of 1 candidate before. Democrats in my opinion will always be weak because they represent the majority of people in this country. For example, take a visit to a family of 3's home, then take a visit to a family of 13's home. The family of 3 is probably a solid unit, where the family of 13 it's probably utter chaos. This allows the republicans to be more of a cohesive unit, and it makes the democrats look weak, and un-unified.

Now back to the comparison you made on power and money. I disagree and simply because I think to the republicans, power is money. Power gives them the ability to weaken regulations, power gives them the ability to create loopholes with taxes that benefit the rich, and hurt everyone else, and cut taxes on the rich and hurt everyone ones. Don't get me wrong either when I say rich. I don't think someone who has 1 million dollars is rich. I know I could go through 1 million bucks in no time. I'm talking about the ultra rich, the Waltons, The Koch Brothers, etc. The only people who have benefitted over the last 12 years.

I also think that the idea of tons of people out there living off the government is a lie. I think there are people out there who do, but I think the majority of people don't want to. You know what unemployment did for me? It put that much more fire under my ass to find a job when I got laid off, because anyone who tries to live off the governemnt is either stupid, or is extremely frugal.

Sorry about the rant, I really do think there are republicans out there who are good people, I just think their party has been taken over by extremists, who are very good at painting the democratic party as something they aren't. Sure they are weak, but they and Obama are not this crazy ass socialist regime that fox news has lead people to believe they are.

Man, you act like living off the government tit is some glorious existence. Like there are tons of people out there who just think that collecting a government check is the only way to live. Most who are unfortunate enough to have to resort to some form of government assistance do not like the fact that they are doing it, and use the fact that it is next to nothing to motivate them to get out of the mess they are in.
