The tea party wasn't a force when the Democrats adopted a no budget government policy. The irony is that Donkeys hoped 'out of sight out of mind' would work, but the opposite came true. Nobody did more to make the tea party relevant than Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. In those first years of the tea party movement, when they were a protest movement and not trying to be an organized force.
