I hope this choice really does result in a national debate about the proper role of the federal government. If that debate happens and the voters decide based on the discussion then the country has picked a direction and we can move forward. If the election is decided by the best add about line 786 in the 2001 Romney tax return vs the best add about Obama being a US citizen then we will all still be stuck in the same muck.
I'll take fiscal responsibility and adherence to the Constitution over tax, spend and welfare programs any day. Romney-Ryan, one knows business and one knows how to budget. Obama- Biden, one knows borrow and spend and the other knows mmm? Not sure exactly what biden knows.
This is a puzzling move for Romney. Ryan is married to slashing social security and medicare. This energizes the consituency that Romney's already got, but it ain't going to move the moderate swing voters much and will play into the Obama campaign's hands as far as demonstrating that Romney is out of touch with the middle class,
