I don't know the percentage ... but it's around 66 million people. (90% of those who voted for Trump).
The key is ... "if done right". It MUST be constitutional. It can't be a party where a bunch of special interests seek to impose their will on the people. Further, it has to be built from the bottom up, much like the Tea Party, AND it must establish itself at the State Level, where it can then dictate to the federal level, as the Constitution meant for the US system to be. Naturally, it won't appeal to every State, ... examples CA, OR, WA and NY or VA. But it could make a serious play in States like NM, CO, PA, MI, WI, VT, and MN. ... and then of course, ALL the Red States.
