They tried to prosecute the guy with no evidence, having invaded his home. They completely overstepped.

I agree. The Patriot Act has a lot more positives than negatives. To be honest I have always been leary of warrantless wire taps but there seems to be no evidence of abuse. The Bush Administration was careful to limit it to phone calls that originated overseas; especially from Near Eastern countries. Under the law the government does not have to wait to get a warrant before it plants the bug; it can plant the bug and then get the warrant. I think that is the way to go.

I read in the paper that Obama wants to bug phone calls that originate in this country. That definately should not be allowed without a warrant and I do not believe the Patriot Act allows it. Funny you do not here the liberals screeming their heads off about that, considering all the screeming they did when Bush starting planting his bugs.

You had better look out. When you call to order that pizza, the feds will be listening in. You may as well just kill yourself now.

I'm glad you are for gutting the 4th Amendment.

    Stop calling yourself a Conservative.

I'm for doing what's right. The 4th amendment has not been gutted. Quit being a Ron Paul Drama Queen.

Suspending using the court to issue warrants is just NOT RIGHT. You have ZERO argument against that.

200,000 uses in the last 10 years using the Patriot Act. 90% of that against US Citizens.

Quit using terrorism as an excuse to give up our liberties in the name of safety provided by the very govt. that you know is inadequate and inefficient.

Using that logic, maybe W should stop calling himself a conservative, too.
