Yes, Claiborne has the size, speed, and tackling ability for the SEC.

Jai has all that he just falls down too much. 4 is an excellent tackler, i need to see more of Claiborne but dude does have great upside. I hope they both push each other really hard, and both do well.

I am pushing for Claiborne, from what I have heard from the beginning of the season was that he could actually start right now. Dont know if thats true, but Miles is partial to seniors and juniors. If Clai is physical, I think he gets the start. Having 2 corners at over 6'1 and 185 plus in the SEC is an advantage. Then you have Chad Jones and Poppa at the safety positions and its a scary secondary.

that would definitely be an advantage. Defense is going to be sick next year.

As good as we are this year, next year will be the real deal for Chavis. I can see our defense being one of the top 5 in the country. Offenses won't be able to pass against us, and good luck trying to run.

Im concerned about our linebackers next year, we will have Sheppard back if he doesnt leave. But everyone after him is unproven at this point and not getting alot of experience this year.
We also lose Coleman, Riley, and Cutrera(sp). I think Chavis moved another safety to LB during August workouts, but i dont remember who it was.

Ok, so we get back Sheppard, he won't leave. We also have Ryan Baker. Is Mingo moving to DE? We also have Minter and Tahj Jones. This may be a stupid question, but what are the chances Chavis does the same thing to Chad Jones he did with Coleman, and move him to that Hybrid Safety/Linebacker?

probably not a good chance the way Jones is playing at FS this year.

probably right, but don't forget we have Ron Brooks as a backup safety also.

I would be concerned had Chavis not created such a solid linebacker group out of NOTHING from last year. I think he'll do well with new guys.
