And I bet nobody feels worse about this that Patrick, himself. When Julio scored that long TD, I was thinking to myself, "Damn, Peterson has waited a year to redeem himself, only to have to come off the field and have this happen." I can't imagine what was going through his mind. Hopefully, he isn't too down on himself about it. Tiger nation loves you Patrick! :thumb:

I wish we could clone that guy and have four of him in the secondary. The amazing thing is, he would be great at any spot in the secondary. I know the scouts are watching. The two guys considered the best in the SEC, and maybe the country, A.J. Green and Julio Jones got shut down by this guy. Both scored TD's against us, neither scored them on Peterson. Most of the best CB talk as been on the Florida tandem, but those guys are what...5'10? PP does everything they can do at 6'1 200+ and can tackle. If the voters take enough time to stop salivating over Bama and Fla., they would see this dude is the best corner in the nation RIGHT NOW. But I still suspect he won't be a 1st teamer as he should be...probably Haden and Arenas...nothing against them, but they will not have earned it over PP.

If Peterson does not make first team someone needs to be arrested because that will be a crime.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is not 1st team SEC because no one will throw at him. He does not have the great numbers other CBs have because he takes away his half of the field. The only time you hear his name is before the game, when they are talking about playmakers because the ball never comes his way.

Is Peterson better than Champ Bailey at this point in his college career relative to Bailey's college career?

Last Saturday night I publicly admitted that I have a man-crush on Peterson. Too bad he was cramping so bad, otherwise we'd be ranked a lot higher this week...

i think he is. I think Peterson will be the greatest defensive backfield player in the history of the game. I have never seen a guy dominate like he does from his position. He tackles, he covers, he has hands, he is physical.

    Jones-FS
    Loston-SS

    Backup
    Eugene-CB
    Reid-CB
    Hatcher-FS
    Taylor-SS
