I did NOT get to watch the game...had to work today. Was able to follow along online, and was able to see the second half since I called a buddy and had him TIVO it. I don't know if he played shutdown corner today...or if he got thrown on at all. But I do know this...

I have a mancrush on Pat Pete. There...I said it.

I was able to see the replay of the INT TD...knew that would eventually come from him. But on CJ's punt return, I was loving him leading the way willing Chad on to follow him to the endzone. PP finally had to throw a block right before the endzone...but was able to catch Chad shortly after he got in the end zone for the tackle.

Felt like starting a positive thread...hope y'all don't mind. I apologize in advance for those who don't want any positivity right now...and FWIW...I see the problems we have too. But someone needed to find a silver lining to our 4-0 top 5 cloud.

He's the best cornerback in the nation.

He almost had a 2nd int, but he was so surprised that the ball was thrown right to him that he wasn't ready to catch it.

Too bad we'll only have him for three years. He's incredible.

i noticed that block, too. i also loved how fired up he got after the goal line stand. i think the defense really needed that. to essentially win a game on a goal line stand - that is going to help us in future games, too, maybe UF. i agree with you about staying positive about our 4-0 top 5 team, sometimes ugly, but winning.

Oh yeah, we stopped them at the 4 inch line on 3rd and 4th down.

Nothing you wouldn't ordinarily see on a Saturday afternoon.

Seeing him waving Jones on was funny and awsome all at the same time!

At the begining of the season on the Geaux Show I said that Chad Jones was gonna be the "Jack Hunt" of this team and be that field general that is needed.

I am changing my mind and after that punt return I think PP has earned the respect of the rest of the defense and he will be that field general!

Even funnier was he put his hands up declaring a touchdown at about the 40 yard line. :hihi::hihi:
