i would like to think that is true, but unfortunately i don't think any coach is going to have the nads to throw to his side, well maybe houston nutt because that dude is just insane, and actually had some success his freshman year, but i really don't see him having a great statistical year. Not that he can't, i would be shocked to see teams try and test him.

I dont think many teams will be able to throw the ball against us with success, not even Florida, they are trying to identify a decent receiver out of the bunch of misfits they have.

Mallet may have some success, but Im counting on our pass rush to be greatly improved this year.

    I can hear it now...

    "Maury Claiborne on the tacke"
    "Marvin Claiborne with the interception"

Of course, that's crossed everyone's mind I'm sure. However, you can't play the game worried about injuries. Besides, if Trindon didn't get killed doing it as small as he was, then I doubt a 220lb Peterson will.

Catching a helmet to a knee is a whole lot more likely with Peterson than it was with Holliday.

I think there will be more of an issue with his last name pronounced "ClaiRborne."

How about "Manny Collarbone breaks up the pass on 3rd down..."

Sorry to hijack the thread with MoCla' jokes. PP is a beast and this thread should go back to him...

He made FoxSports Ultimate 11 list:

    Patrick Peterson

    Class: Junior
    Position: Cornerback
    School: LSU

Peterson is a unique corner. The 6-foot-1, 211-pounder is built like a safety more than he is a corner. He has superior quickness and speed, but he can bring the pain in the run game as well. With only two picks — though he should have had at least three — you might wonder why Peterson makes this list. His 13 pass breakups led LSU and he got to the point where he was locking down half of the field in 2009; teams just didn’t test him. LSU has been picked as high as 2nd in the SEC West to as low as 4th. If Peterson improves on a great 2009, LSU has a very good chance of contending for an SEC West title.

Nice dig in there about the non-interception from the Bama game.
