Just wanted to start a thread on this guy since he is such a bonafide badass.

I know that most of you are just as excited as I am to watch him play this season.

Players like this just don't come around too often.

Most people don't realize his pedigree: he's related to NFL wr's Sinorice Moss, Santana Moss & Steelers cb Bryant McFadden.

6'1" 220 lbs and some say he's as fast as Trindon Holliday (as stated in another thread).

He's the best football player on LSU's extremely talented football team and is a future top 5 pick if (when) he chooses to enter the 2011 NFL draft.

He'll be returning kicks and punts to start the season off.

Enjoy the show.....this man is a freak.

Easily my favorite player on the team. The guy just commands a presence on the field. I like him returning punts but don't like him returning kickoffs

I don't see him returning kicks for too long. We don't want to wear him down or risk injury. I think someone else will take over returning kicks maybe 3 weeks into the season.

Not if he routinely excels at returns. Can you imagine the outcry if Peterson breaks a few and nearly breaks a few more...and the coaching staff replaces him.

It'd be greater than if Peterson gets injured on one of them.

That's a good predicament to have, I guess.

PP says that if he does his job, then teams won't kick to him by week 3 or 4.

    Dude is effing awesome.

I agree...I do think our corners are going to play lights out this year.

He could very well be the best defensive player to ever wear the purple and gold. He should at least be in the conversation.

Mo Claiborne will have his work cut out for him, because i don't see too many coaches wanting to test the assassin that is Patrick Peterson.

haha, Chuck Norris went to Skull Island, he was really horny so he bent over King Kong and got it doggy style, 9 months later, Patrick Peterson was born.

I hope he gets a chance for lots of highlight film this season, because as good as he has been - in fact because he's been so good - he hasn't gotten the TV time he deserves.

Maybe Claiborne will be good enough, and the defensive scheme will be crafty enough, that Pat Pete will get more footballs thrown his way. That'd be awesome.
