let's just put it this way, if PJ didn't score a 17 on his ACT, his previous score of 22 won't get him in what word would you like to use for this turn of events?
I just think it's unfair that if he earned the 22, he could still not get it. Sure, he should be able to replicate it if he did it once, but I just think it's unfair. Why doesn't Urban flag Appy State's win over Michigan. That doesn't look right, either.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects I think it could have a huge influence. With him (PJ) and a few other big names... it might sway others like Pryor... since we'll have a legitmate shot at another NC or two in the next few years, especially with the returning talent we have... Pryor and the rest of the nation watched how dangerous we were with a dual QB threat this past season... how deadly would we be with Perriloux and Pryor at QB? NCs sway big names... LSU ain't out of the picture by a long shot.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects It'll probably have a bigger effect next year and the year after.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects One thing some of these recruits don't realize is if they would commit early they would have time to help pursue/persuade their friends and other recruits. Some do it for example Notre Dame commits & OSU recruits this year.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects But some really don't have their minds made up until much closer to signing day. If they have a big chance of seeing the field as a true freshman, they likely wait to evaluate which schools can get them early playing. Some want to wait and see which juniors declare for the draft.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects Yeah thats true some don't even make their choice till that morning like Keiland Willams for example.
Re: Patrick Johnson recruiting effects Will he be on campus this semester? January 23, 2008 Johnson's status is? David Folse II TigerBait.com Rivals.com five-star cornerback Patrick Johnson has his package flagged by the NCAA Clearinghouse last week, tonight he has shared with TigerBait.com whether or not he will be able to start classes at LSU for the spring semester or if he will have to wait until the summer.
he'll be here June 5th. He passed the ACT. Just didn't get his new transcript from his school showing that in time to register. Sad, but it's also good to know now he is officially a qualifier.
