I watched the game when Johnson committed and he was asked "Why did you choose LSU?".

Johnson - "I was comfortable with Coach Miles, ... just real comfortable with Coach Miles".

    Way to go Les!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :geaux:

Edited: I'll add, I immediately liked Patrick Johnson. He is soft spoken and polite. I could see him getting along well with CLM. It's hard to get an impression in 15 seconds, but he was not a big bragger or anything. As he walked away, the announcers said "that young man gets up at 6:30 AM on Saturdays to start practicing his back peddle. He's a real hard worker." Sounds like we got a great young athlete coming to LSU! I'll watch his career with interest!

I think cuz Coach Miles told him he'd see the field next year like Chad Jones did this year, maybe more.

Just think, with Chad Jones and Patrick Johnson taking away opponents' passing games, our beastly D-line guys (including Nevis and Jean-Francois and others) should give QB's and RB's a rough time for the forseeable future... as in 2-3 years!

Our Defensive Coordinator position just got WAY more attractive. Can't wait to see how good our D gets!

I was so excited to see Johnson pick LSU over Miami, hopefully Arthur Brown changes his mind and decides to go to LSU too. UM football is dead and I've given up on it, maybe thats because I graduate in May to come back and go to LSU Law School. But I think Patrick Johnson is gonna be awesome!!

This is what is important to me, and I heard those words come out again today, "comfortable" and "Coach Miles".

In the long run, that is very important, IMO. I'm glad Coach Miles was retained at LSU. As I've said before, all my buddies from A&M told me they were glad Les was gone from Okie St., cause he was taking their recruits away.

UM football is FAR from dead. Take a close look at their recruiting class. I think they'll be back in the mix very soon. As for Arthur Brown, I think what some people may have concluded this week is that high school football in Kansas isn't as competitive as some other states.

Even without Johnson, UM has a pretty stacked recruiting class. They'll be back near the top in a few seasons.

i agree....I think Randy Shannon turns that program in the right direction. just too much talent in FLA and too much tradition at UM.
