    I approve of this message.

I saw a lot of half-stepping and dogging it today in Black and Gold.

There's a lot of football left guys. Trust in the guy to the left.

You're right. It's just one game and it's probably an overreaction, but with good reason. I trust Drew too, but not much he can do when he's running for his life.

Brown was atrocious yesterday and the whole line on both sides of the ball flat out sucked; especially the offensive line. Worst performance I've seen from them in the Payton era.

Defense is about what I expected. It's the same story each week with those guys. Legarret Blount is back for TB and his running style is similar to Stephen Jacksons.

The only good thing, if there can be one from a loss is that they should be pissed off and motivated. Division opponent who's won 3 out of 4 in the Dome, so if they can't get up and play well for that, then I don't have much hope for rest of the year. We'll see..

If anyone can do it, Brees can. However, I don't think he can do it all himself with the makeup of this year's team. There's still basically no running game, and the defense is very suspect.

No offensive line and no defensive line. It's not exactly a recipe for success. Brees is going to need more help than he has.

Even with no D to speak of, at least the Saints stand a chance with some semblance of a running game. Even that hasn't materialized, you would think we would have learned our lesson from last season. So opposing defenses just pin their ears back and go for Brees. He's a great QB, for sure, but he's never been terribly mobile and is getting up there in NFL years.

I say the Saints sneak into the playoffs, but there's too much of a chink in the armor to expect a great finish this year.

Something that has been bothering me lately, and this is a Mickey Loomis problem: We are paying top quality offensive tackle money to both starting guards while going bargain basement at the tackle position. For what we are paying the guards, we should be blowing out the middle of defenses and averaging 4 yards a run between the tackles. We are nowhere near that. Meanwhile, in two of the last 3 games, the tackles have nearly gotten our meal ticket, Drew Brees, killed. We desperately need to upgrade the tackle position, but I don't know how we're going to do that, and pay Brees this season.
