He's a thoroughly intriguing prospect for a team with a set QB. He could have a high ceiling in three years or so, as I always thought he acquitted himself well at QB in college. Beyond the athletic tools, he seemed to have a good sense of the game, other than a tendency to keep it too often on QB option plays. He's like Vince Young without the stupid. I think the best fits would be: Saints, Bengals, Rams and Seahawks. Wow, it's incredible how many teams either have a young QB or no QB at all.
Pat played for the local high school here in Daphne Al. as did his brother. He was recruited by Mike Shula at Bama but was not guranteed that he would play Quaterback so he moved on to West Virginia. I have only heard good things about him off the field, his playing speaks for itself. All of us here are hoping he is a big sucess at the next level. Good luck Pat.
Pat wasnt recruited by a ton of teams because many thought he was going to play MLB and he was projected to be drafted in the top few rounds. He was, however, still offered by plenty of top schools and committed to LSU after he realized nobody wanted him as a QB. WVU came in late and offered him as a QB and he switched in February. Bama didnt recruit him heavily because their coach was unaware that Baldwin country was in his state.
